The Nurse Residency Program also strengthens clinical competency, critical thinking, and clinical judgment, and provides the opportunity to collaborate with other participants and subject matter experts. The Nurse Residency Program is considered an extension of unit orientation for newly licensed nurses and nurses with less than one year experience.
The program consists of a welcome session and nine monthly topic sessions, including simulation-based learning experiences, hands-on activities, group discussion, socialization, networking, case studies and knowledge exploration.
