I am having some strange behavior in my machine running windows xp sp1 since directX 9 was installed on it. I want to make sure this is the problem and for that I need to uninstall it. Hello 0x4B The problem is that you can't uninstall directX 9 from Windows XP that way. Try it by yourself. As far as I can see it is not easy to uninstall this soft. There is no reference in Adding and Removing programs Control Panel.
Anyway, thanks for your cooperation. Glorenzo, After reading your post, I tried it, and I found I can uninstall directX from control panel and add remove programs. Oh hang on a second.

Having had trouble with DirectX 9. Ive had this Problem for awhile now, in being unable to properly install dx9c, however I have had great success in uninstalling it back to the original 8. There are several tools to uninstall DirectX 9. Just search the Google! This part is easy. The real problem arrives when you want to re-install DirectX 9.
